ELDOM BCE 200 cooling / heating buffer tank for heat pumps

The ELDOM BCE 200 cooling / heating buffer tank is an ideal choice for heat pump heating and cooling systems. The tank's role is to store the heating or cooling energy generated by the system but not used immediately, and then feed it back into the central heating or cooling circuit on demand. Using it reduces the number of on/off cycles of the heat generator, makes system operation smoother, and moderates the loads arising from circuits operating at different temperatures.

The tank is made of rolled steel sheet, with its inner surface protected by enamelling and 2 anodes. Effective heat retention is ensured by rigid PU insulation, while a water-repellent leatherette/PVC jacket provides external protection. The floor-standing design ensures stable placement, and the 2 × 4 internally threaded 6/4” connections offer flexible connection options to the heating or cooling system.

A further advantage of the ELDOM BCE 200 is that a 180 mm diameter factory heating element with an output of 3–12 kW can be fitted into the lower inspection opening, and an additional heating unit can be installed in the 6/4” auxiliary socket. This means the water in the heating system can be heated even without operating the central heat generator, such as a boiler.

Thanks to the internal enamelling and official drinking water certification, the tank is also suitable for storing domestic hot water or cold water, so it can also be used as a DHW tank.
